Thanks to his 35 of medical experience, Dr. Rifaat Salem is helping Pacific Reproductive Center lead the way in terms of latest technologies and newest research. Dr. Salem has extensive experience in the medical field and has helped hundreds of patients with fertility issues and gynecological problems throughout his career, as well as contributed to multiple research studies, deepening our understanding and treatment of infertility.

Dr. Salem graduated from the University of Southern California Medical School then went on to obtain his doctorate in Neuroendocrinology from the University of California at Los Angeles. He also has two master’s degrees; one in biochemistry and another in physiology. He acquired his clinical experience University of British Columbia in Stanford, The Microsurgical Institute of San Francisco, and Pacific Fertility Center of San Francisco.

After his time in school, Rifaat Salem performed breakthrough research which helped to establish the mechanism of specific steroid hormones. He held two National Institute of Health Fellowships in Neuroendocrinology and published burnout scientific research articles in the top national and international fertility journals. He is also currently a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

While Dr. Salem’s research has served as a foundation for furthering our understandings of infertility, and how to better treat it, his most important work has been as an endocrinologist at Pacific Reproductive Center. As a result of his extensive experience, Dr. Salem has been able to assist hundreds of individuals and couples in their fertility journey, regardless of ethnicity, religious views, or sexual orientation.

He continues to use his expertise and knowledge to help individuals and couples wishing to conceive. He currently serves as the medical director and chairman of the Pacific Reproductive Center, as well as an experienced fertility specialist and medical doctor.
